A dark, psychedelic cosmic burner that “out-goths” a lot of goth music out there, courtesy of one of the many projects that emerged out of the ashes of the seminal midwest US post-hardcore group Slint.

The Vanishing‘s “Lovesick” from their second and final album Still Lifes Are Failing is a somewhat obscure yet prevailing dancefloor classic from San Francisco’s dark synth-punk scene of the early 2000s.

The sole LP by the short-lived Beautiful Skin, an American electronic duo working with sounds preceding the minimal wave revival, from hardcore roots.

Currently listening to many things that aren’t electronic music, here I give a little overview on U.S. Maple and their track “Obey Your Concert”.
