With an invite back to play records on air for Glasgow’s Radio Buena Vida, this is the first mix done for this year of 2026. It’s fun to do, especially as I’ve opted to do all-vinyl sets on air and that not only puts a nice limitation on what I can play in this day and age of instant access to music, but it also gives me an opportunity to play new vinyl acquisitions out over the airwaves.

And as there’s soon to be an announcement for a forthcoming new Soft Riot record, I figured I’d play out a track from When Push Comes To Shove (2019) as well as a few tracks by artists that have collaborated on this new, forthcoming release including a track by Croatian musician/singer Iv/An (here under his previous I/II moniker) who provided vocals on a track from the new album as well as a track by the highly underrated post-industrial group Uncanny Valley, of which vocalist/mastermind behind that band, Owen Pratt, came on board to mix the new Soft Riot record.

There’s more information about the tracks in several parts of the mix that I’ve provided a voice over for. Despite remembering a couple of minor technical problems during the set, including a very touchy power knob on one of the vinyl decks and some of the monitoring sound cutting out in the live room due to some slight incompetence on my part, it overall sounds a lot more together and more fun upon a listen back to it all.

Enjoy!
