With last week’s announcement that the new forthcoming album Crux was open for pre-orders, it was noted that there was only FIVE remaining copies of the Limited Edition Vinyl LP version — released on Minimalkombinat — were available in the BandCamp as that first pressing was pretty much sold out on pre-orders.
Needless to say those five copies on the softriot.bandcamp.com store went pretty quick and were sold out within a couple of hours.
Due to the demand, a second run of vinyl is in production and will be available through Possession Records! This Standard LP version will be pressed on the same orange and black “splatter” vinyl as the Limited Edition Vinyl LP with the same cover art, but on a standard LP jacket with front and back cover, along with a slightly different double-sided insert compared to the limited edition version that contains the lyrics and further artwork.
This Standard LP version is now available to pre-order through the BandCamp store and will ship a week or two after the release of the record, which has a release date of 15 May 2026.
There’s also a “package” deal available — much like the Digipak CD — where you can order Crux on vinyl plus another Soft Riot LP on vinyl for a discounted price.
There’s also work behind the scenes to get the physical formats through several distributors, with the aim to get the record into shops and perhaps with overseas distributors as well. More news on that as it comes.
