A bit short notice on this announcement but frankly we’ve all be wrapped up with major, seismic events going on in the world at the moment. I’ll be doing a video-recorded live/studio performance with a tentative date of Thursday, 18 June 2020, for STRICT TEMPO out of Seattle, Washington. The event was originally scheduled for 11 June 2020 but has been postponed due to the situation going in in Seattle at the moment as quoted by the show’s host. DJ Vox Sinistra (Brittnie Fuller):
“Due to the continued escalation of police violence in my neighborhood and across the country this past week, I am further postponing this week’s Strict Tempo. I hope to be able to continue with the same program next Thursday and use it as a platform to support the current movement, but this week has been too much of a struggle and it doesn’t feel right to promote a dance party. Seattle has been a war zone. Solidarity & support to everyone fighting in the streets right now.”
Standing in solidary with this, I’d like to thank Vox Sinistra for the invite to contribute to this online event when it feels right to do so. I’ve especially been a fan of her long running radio show Secret Meaning Of Things, one I’ve been listening to a lot over the past few years: a gold mine of new, old and rare post-punk, italo, minimal wave, EBM… and the list goes on.
