Here’s an attempt to arrange all of the current news into one piece, all tied to a bit of cheap alliteration under the letter “R”…
First off, all formats of the new album Fiction Prediction are available for order after some delays on some of the physical formats. You can now order these items from the European label handling this release, Other Voices Records. They are available to order here in Vinyl LP, Cassette, and Compact Disc format. Note that the tracklisting differs slightly between the formats. This is entirely intentional! The digital formats are available through a number of online retailers including iTunes, eMusic, 7Digital, Gracenote, MusicLoad, Vervelife, Bloom.fm and many more.
Since returning from a healthy tour through Europe this past July, the studio has been turned on and back into the thick of it, with work currently being doing on new versions of tracks by Keluar and TSTI, the latter of which will be appearing on a vinyl LP of remixes on the French label Desire towards the end of this year. More news on that to come. You can check out the version of “China Doll”, originally by A Terrible Splendour below.
The original track was included on A Terrible Splendour’s album released this year on Desire called Poseurs. This Soft Riot version is currently available as a free download for a limited time.
There are some show announcements to be made soon, including a date in Moscow for late October for the clubnight Waveform, and also as part of an Other Voices label showcase. There is definite anticipation of this show, especially in light of the furor involving Russia’s politics and LGBT policies. Despite boundaries and borders you can find the “underground” anywhere, with people interested in forward-thinking music and forward-thinking ideas despite what their own governments might have in store.
More dates are being planned in addition to that in UK and abroad. If you have any interest in booking Soft Riot live, please get in touch. Thanks.
